窓に惹かれる、窓辺とはどのような空間なのか。
私が窓から見てきた風景は、多摩丘陵の自然とその合間を縫うように建てられた鉄筋コンクリートの団地群だった。
都市と自然が共生する姿の中に、人工的なものの中にある人間らしさを感じた。私にとっての自然とは、100%の大自然ではなく、人工物が入り混じったものである。柱と柱の間を「間戸」と考える日本伝統の建築概念を取り入れ、異なる２つのものが交じりあって１つのものとして存在する現象を探った。
